Dept. of We're Off!

Midway Airport

One of the nice things about people watching at the airport is that you can make the  choice to decide that everyone you're watching is a good person, with an  interesting story. It"s a  luxury I'm sure security can't exercise.

Oh, it's great - and now I'm in Toronto, waiting for our next flight, and the people watching is just as cool, with the added fun of being able to post about it on something other than my Blackberry. Heh.

Wow. I've never made that choice. But, to be fair, I don't choose to fly in and out of Midway either.

Heh. I rather think you don't often have that luxury either, although you should trey it sometime; I find it relaxing.

If you are off, I would rather you sat downwind.

But I'm generally on, so you don't have to worry. Heh. (You gave me the first grin of the day.)

I love people watching at airports. People on airplanes are always so interesting because they all have a Purpose for being there and it's fun to try and twist that purpose out -

Is this person a business traveller or a honeymooner? Are they going on their first holiday in twenty years? To visit their parents? To meet their online match?

And Pearson... Pearson airport and I are old friends.

I hope you have a good trip and that your mother is happily surprised!

Making up stories from hints and glimpses of others' lives is both fscinating and rewarding, isn't it?

Interestingly enough, Porter operates out of Billy Bishop airport, rather than Pearson. It's a nice little space.
