Dept. of Weariness

Tired is a Way of Life

But I'm going to go to bed now, and see if I can get up at 6 a.m. and be working by 7 a.m.

*and the universe explodes into snorts and guffaws of laughter*

Wish me luck, my dears.

Didn't get to work by 7 a.m. as I'd hoped, but did buckle down by 8:30 or so, which is far, far, far better than usual.

Luck!

One of us certainly deserves it in such a situation, and Ghu knows, it never comes my way. So, hey, it's all yours!

Well I'm going to send you as many lucky vibes as humanly possible; I can't think of anyone who deserves it more, especially since you work harder than 9.675 people combined.

I have to be up at 6:30 so I better not be too smug.

I get up at 6.30 most days, but earlier tends to make me grumpy - good luck!

I am in awe of people who get up at times in the single digits as it were. I am so not a morning person ... sigh ....

Good Luck. And you know what I'm learning is fun? Taking a day off and doing nothing. Of course I'm retired and can do that, but when I was working, I would rarely use my days off as a Day Off. I used to dream of escaping to a bed and Breadfast or spending a night at a 3-5 star Hotel away from all my stuff and chores. It's worth it.

But get some good sleep.

when I was working, I would rarely use my days off as a Day Off.

This is me, and I really think I'm silly for doing it. It's only started happening since we've been required to take unpaid vacation days ... I take them as individual Fridays once every month to avoid the jolt to my checkbook, but those days rarely end up being days of rest. I find myself doing things for work. I do look forward to my real days off, but I do have to remind myself that they are Days. Off.
