I can't resist the damned things

These things are like popcorn. I know they have little nutrition, but they're so adorably buttery and salty and crunchy. Behold, courtesy of dameruth and safely under the cut....

The Three Things Meme

THREE NAMES YOU GO BY:

1. Kathy
2. Routliffe - my last name, and what I'm called by occasional co-workers and one or two politicos.

1. Nova Scotia, to visit my family.
2. The British Isles.
3. Japan. Or Greece, not sure which.

1. Scottish -- MacNeils (of Barra, actually)

Does that make you one of the Barra-McNeils? Very talented people you are related to if that is the case.

Any MacNeils (or MacNeills) who came from the Isle of Barra in the Outer Hebrides is technically related to some small extent or another, but it's probably something like seventh cousins, twice or six times removed. By that mesure I'm also related to Robert MacNeil of PBS Television's MacNeil-Lehrer Report (from which he's since retired), since his ancestry hails from that island as well. I love the Barra McNeils, and have a lot of their music.

Aw, I went through a gin phase in college. (Of course now I'm on to the Amaretto, which is a stereotypically college girl drink so maybe I'm going backwards?)

Heh. Just a purveyor of memes, that's me. I'm rude that way. I also offer people potato chips and other addictive substances. ;)

Actually, I'll own up to that "swear like a sailor" answer to the last question, too -- one of many things I could have put there. ;)
