I found this on coffeem's site as well. You and I have the same number... 1. I had found the one person in the USA with my name on the internet a couple of years ago. He owns a used car lot and is, as far as I can tell, the same age as me. No relation that I know though.

You've had more luck than I have (and you've probably had more luck that your car lot-owning doppelganger. I don't imagine business is brisk for the poor fellow these days.

Well, this is just PROOF you MADE YOUR NAME UP. "Canada", huh? Note that I say "huh", I do not say "eh" -- another thing Canadians MADE UP. Bunch'a... ...MAKER-UPPERS. Perky, though. (http://www.discospock.com/humor/perkycanda.html)

Bunch'a... ...MAKER-UPPERS.

Damn. They ... know!

Me too! Although, when you google my name, someone else comes up. I didn't think they were in another country. odd.

Ego-surfing is fun, but I don't think I've ever run across another person with my name in this country.

Oh, I have a tendency to google myself when trying to find the press releases for shows I've worked on--I manage to forget designers' names really quickly, and if someone's looking for good designers I look them up with the press releases.

I think mjlayman might be right that it's inaccurate. I double checked, and the other person with my name appears to have attended two American colleges--and she actually spells our first name the "right" way. There are one or two others who spell it differently. But with my middle initial I am sure I'm unique!

Kathy, I suspect you ganked it from coffeeem, not from coffeem. Your "coffeem" link points to something that is chock full o' Cyrillic (that heavenly alphabet)...

Secret Agent X-9

Thankee kindly, Secret Agent X-9 - you were right! It's now been fixed. (Although I confess to wondering what exactly they were all talking about over at that other site. Cyrillic looks so pretty, and so indecipherable.)

Hey, I'm unique, too! ;-)

I'm also relieved to see that 99.9 percent of people with my first name are female, since I've known of two who are male. ::shakes head:: The "-ie" ending is supposed to be feminine in English, people.

And how many people had the last name Spoon?
*ducks, runs for cover*

Heh. Heheh. Eheh.

Mine says that, too, but I happen to know it's inaccurate. There is another Marilee Layman who got the last name from her husband, and she lives here in Virginia. She also is really lousy at handling credit and I keep having to have her stuff taken off my records. Now, if we could check it the way I use it -- Marilee J. Layman -- there would definitely be just me.

Hey, and she gives money to Republicans!

And while I was looking, I found someone who puts me with Debra Doyle, Jim Macdonald, the Nielsen Haydens, and Dave Langford! (look at the last comment)

Good lord! I ... have no words. I assume the writer's had his or her wrist slapped by TNH and went away crying tears, which subsequently turned to flame. But why on earth would anyone at Wikipedia ... Oh, never mind. I have a feeling that the world o'Wiki is crazier than lj, and I'm just getting my bearings here.

Yes, and the interesting part is the inclusion of my name, since I don't write and have no wish to. But to be villified in that company is very honorable.
