Dept. of Can't Keep My Eyes Open

Sopor Beckons, Kaffyr Tries to Give Her the Finger

Yes, I did get to bed a little late last night — a tad past two a.m., which once would have been normal, but has not been for the past six months — but there is absolutely no reason for this sudden weariness, now so intense that I can barely keep my eyes open, much less think and write. It came upon me as I was driving home from an assignment this afternoon, and now I'm finding it nearly impossible to put words in order to make sentences to put together to make paragraphs.

AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaa *snore*

Help.

*ducks, but still gets soaked*

Hey! That's coffee! Don't waste it on a slugabed like me, enjoy it yourself!

(Thanks, though; the caffeinated missile seems to be what I needed. At least I can think a bit more now. Heh. Also? Love your icon.)

Sorry!! *Hands*

Maybe you can suck the leftovers out of the upholstery?

Mmmm...there is always plenty. And I have these guys to keep me entertained *points to icon*

Awesome! Happy to be of service. Usually conks to the head don't help clear MY thinking - but it was cardboardish, soooo....

One of my new favs. It describes my life perfectly.

Actually, I get like that now, too. Ever since menopause kicked in. Everything will be fine and then right around sundown, *wham*, time for bed.

It doesn't usually happen to me, though, which is why it surprised me so. I'm recovering a bit now, perhaps enough to complete another story before I fall into bed. Since I have to be up at 6 to go interview people at a train station at 7:30 a.m., I'd best make the most of what sleep I can get.

(Did you see my response to your response over at DW?)
