Dept. of I Love The Internet

Public Service Announcement

Because I care.

Thank you. Goodnight America, and all the ships at sea.

Addendum: thanks to the most estimable wendymr, who pointed this out to me before mainstream news folks did.

Actually, I love the internet even more for this: MassGAP says that Romney lied. It wasn't even his initiative.

What actually happened was that in 2002 -- prior to the election, not even knowing yet whether it would be a Republican or Democratic administration -- a bipartisan group of women in Massachusetts formed MassGAP to address the problem of few women in senior leadership positions in state government. There were more than 40 organizations involved with the Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus (also bipartisan) as the lead sponsor.

They did the research and put together the binder full of women qualified for all the different cabinet positions, agency heads, and authorities and commissions. They presented this binder to Governor Romney when he was elected.

Honourable mention to the tweet on the romneysbinder account saying BREAKING NEWS - Donald Trump demands to see Romney's long form binder full of women.

Oh, thank you for pointing me to this! Do you mind if I reference it over on my DW account?

*snrk*

Thanks, too, for the grin.

Go right ahead! It's made it to the mainstream news websites now anyway, so it's no longer 'breaking news' of any sort.

Sorry I'm so late coming back to you, but I don't (can't, but wouldn't anyway) access social media at work.

Oh, but for another grin, lindenharp pointed me here. Enjoy!

Thanks - I've had little chance myself to get onto the computer until now. Some of the Amazon reviews are hilarious. Some are ... uhm ... disturbing.

I'll still route folks to the information you shared, because it never hurts to remind them about the wonderful world of fact-checking. Heh.

I think I broke something while laughing. I know I broke something while cussing and crying.

Then I went to see if I could fit into a binder...just in case.

IS there any way I can vote Harry Saxon?!

O_o...

Oh, thank you for this! (Wow, I get to thank people today; this is good!)

Then I went to see if I could fit into a binder...just in case.

You're so much larger on the inside, you'd break any type of binder.

Saxon? Nah. He's ... less than optimal ....

Always, bb! *Grins*

People are always like that. Oh shit, I'm a female though! Am I 'people' to Mittens?

Well...there's that meglomania with a nice side of looney toons, but...sometimes Saxon seems a better option. Especially Saxon VS Mittens. I know who I'd pick. LOL.

Well, I suppose Saxon never put his dog on the roof. Or his women in binders.
