Dept. of Short Notices

I Am Tired and Going to Bed

But I feel obligated to point out that I learned a new word, of which I think I shall become irrationally fond: singultus (thank you, dictionary.com!) It is the Latin word for hiccups, and I must find a way to use it as often as possible.

I did watch The Bells of St. John tonight, with BB, FB and Emily, but I'm really too knackered to comment intelligently on it. Also, I managed to jam my own eyeglasses into my left eye, and it is somewhat the worse for wear. Perhaps tomorrow?

This entry was originally posted at http://kaffyr.dreamwidth.org/315029.html?mode=reply, where there are currently comment count unavailable comments. You can comment there or here; I watch both.

Love new words! :D It's a great one!

Ouch, I hope both the eye and the glasses are all right! Get some rest!

The eye's still a little sore this morning, but much better than it could have been, thanks to some sleep (a time when truly getting some "shut-eye" was extremely helpful.)

Yeah, I haven't figured out a context in which to use singultus, but I simply must. Heh.

Cold compress gratefully accepted; I can still feel the eye, if you know what I mean, but it's not hurting. And yes, I definitely need to find a context in which to use singultus. Heh.
