Dept.of Birthday Wishes

A Very Happy Birthday

Best wishes to [personal profile] supergee , a wry observer of life, the universe, and everything, and a master of multiple fannish modes of communication with which to talk about what he sees. I met him about 16 years ago (dear lord, 16 years?) on Usenet's Rec. Arts. SF Fandom (rasseff, of blessed memory) and I've never stopped being glad I did. May the coming year be free of annoyances and happily full of good books and good company.

Best wishes, too, to heatherbelles, who I first met on TWoP eight years ago (holy crap; I was thinking that it was only a few years ago, but it's eight years ago) and who I liked immediately. I've never stopped liking her, and I hope that she has a marvelous birthday!

Thank you. I still think we met earlier, when I sent you my zine because of all of the great stuff you were writing for Idea.

That's right, you mentioned that earlier this year (where is my brain? I can't recall these things easily); I can't remember when I first wrote for Idea - I keep thinking it was around the same time that I started reading RASFF, but there could have been a year or two difference.

Good Lord, is it really 8 years? Time really does fly when we're having fun, does it?

I've never stopped liking you either MamaK! I had a marvellous birthday.

Went down to the Parental's after exhibition opening for a long weekend (came back up today). Bit of walking and a trip to the pub on Sunday, bit of shopping and a meal out yesterday, saw my brother and fiance briefly today as they were off to look at wedding venues with my parents and I was heading back up the road.

Just watching a fabulous BBC thing called 'Ten Pieces' aimed at getting kids interested in classical music, so feeling a bit cultured too.

Popping in very late to tell you that seeing how pleasant a birthday you had made me smile!

I just saw a BBC spot about its various music presentations or programs (I guess it isn't an advertisement), and it was glorious I wish our various American networks took that attitude toward music!
