Dept. of Exhaustion

Christmas Has Been Had

It was good. The dishwasher broke. I have an extremely sore back that doesn't allow me to bend over.

And it was still good.

(The four hour clean-up tomorrow? Perhaps not so great. But that's expected.)

I hope everyone who celebrated had a good day. See you tomorrow. Sometime, while I hunt for an appliance repair man on Boxing Day. Or I could just wash dishes by hand, the way god intended ....)

My beloved BB and FB ended up doing all the work, including the slightly messy work of getting the dirty dishes and water out of the dishwasher. I have been on the couch all day, with a lot of painkiller in me. But everyone has been so lovely about me being a lump that I'm not feeling too guilty. And happy holidays to you!

You were wounded on the field of battle, no feeling guilty :)

Happy Holidays! I'm glad the dishwasher didn't totally ruin your day.

I'll admit, it was one of those things that made me grin crookedly and say, "Of course!!" But I was surrounded by so much friendship and fellowship (and I was so darned tired) that I didn't feel the usual attack of stress it would normally have engendered.

I hope your day was good!

It was good thank you:) Got a stupid amount of pressies this year for some reason. The gravy did spill out of the jug all down the fridge and freezer door just before going to bed though. I suspect the sprout fumes overwhelmed it;p

*snort*

I gave up brussel sprouts this year, although BB and I love them sauteed in balsamic vinegar and olive oil, with a touch of garlic, because his GI doctor has become very disapproving of high-fibre veggies for BB's health. Sigh.

And hurrah for a stupid amount of pressies!

ARGH, we had a dishwasher break during Christmas once, too.

Back problems just suck, full stop.

Nevertheless, sounds like you had a nice holiday, which is the main thing. : )

I did. Now of course today I get the second of two unit owners reporting water in their furnace closets - which is truly weird, because they are in different sections of the building, and you'd think .... argh, not going to think about it today. I'm going to go to bed and tackle it tomorrow/scarletohara.

Bless, honey!! I understand the hassles of handwashing dishes! Sorry your dishwasher gave up the ghost - but I hope the rest of your holiday has more than made up for that!!

*HUGS*

I got your pretty card on the 24th. Thanks muchly. 8) We had a truly wonderful Christmas, the kind with family, friends, laughter and happy tears, and a turkey dinner I waddled away from. I appreciated the presents under our tree, but on top of everything else we've been given they felt kind of redundant.

All the best to you in the new year. (hug)

I'm so glad the card reached you! Living in what my U.S. Post Office-familiar son assures me is known as the third worst postal district in the nation, sending things via post can sometimes be a bit of an adventurous bet.

I'm also glad that your Christmas was wonderful; and thank you so much for the hug - have one back!
