Goals, Day 3

Thanks much to [personal profile] lost_spook  for something cheerful!

This lovely vid made me much more cheerful than I'd been before I watched it.

And today is Friday; I have dined on turkey croquettes and maple-glazed fried parsnips (courtesy of BB) for supper. Our kitty, Alex, is feeling better after a trip to the vet, and I had a very productive Thursday and Friday. So I am pleased. And tomorrow BB, FB, and our friend Neil go to Hausermann's for their annual February orchid show.

I am a happy camper.

It's cheerful and hopeful without denying the sad things. I definitely love that attitude. I think I'll keep it around to revisit.

Yes, the poor old guy has irritable bowel problems, and when that section of his innards gets inflamed, much non-hilarity results. He's back to himself now, and we're all happy.

As are we. He's dozing right now on BB's lap, but we'll have to interrupt him shortly, since we're heading off to do our grocery shopping.

Yes, it was a lovely Friday, although I later got a rather killer headache and had to go to bed early. Despite the pain, however, I was in a far better emotional place than I'd been for some time.

And I make a very nice turkey croquette, if I do say so; I'd frozen unused cooked turkey from Thanksgiving, and knew I had to thaw it and use it *now* or it wouldn't be good to use. So thaw I did, then I ground it up and created the croquettes, along with a curry sauce, plus plenty of orange-cranberry relish. Yum. (Of course you could probably make a birthday cake with curry and make me happy!)

Oh, my dear - anything that makes you smile makes my day; sorry I didn't respond as quickly as I wanted to. Hope all is going relatively well for you!
