Dept. of Irritation

The lady who wants to meet Vincent emailed me to say she can't come today, but can do so tomorrow. That's fine, but ... yeah, would have preferred it today. Especially since Vincent last night discovered our bedroom door's cat door, which allowed him to come in at night and frighten the hell out of Opie by trying to jump on the bed. Prior to last night, he hadn't grasped the concept of the cat door. And when I put the cover on it, he figured out how to get it off. He's clever, I'll give him that.

Ah, well; tomorrow it is, and that gives me the chance to clean up around here.

Aww, poor kitties - both of them. I hope the lady who wants to meet Vincent ends up falling in love with him, though!

I think I'm going to have to give up on the first lady, who has flaked on me twice. Although the second time was due to her having a cold, I've checked, and I think she's someone who loves animals but who may not have the actual capabilities to care for as many as she seems to have, and would certainly have if Vincent went to her. So I'm going to go with another possibility, which is a rehoming/fostering effort. Fingers crossed.

Hmm. Yes, that seems like she might not be a great option, then. Keep us posted re: the rehoming/fostering!

We eventually went with a different option, and Vincent has been fostered out by a very good volunteer adoption group.

*hugs back*
