It Occurred to Me ...

... that people who look at horrible wrong-doers with significant bank accounts and say "The rich don't think rules apply to them," are wrong.

The rich know damned well that rules apply to them. 

That's why they hide their wrong-doing or, when discovered, plunk down Real Good Money for Real Good Lawyers. 

Now if you were to say of those horrible wrong-doers with significant bank accounts, "The rich don't think rules should apply to them," ... ah, that's something with which I might agree.
