Cat herding

This? is not gonna happen.

A third cat in the house, who's accomplished the feat of making BB and FB fall in love with her. And who's accomplished the larger task of us finding out her name. Jenny. Jenny Match, or Matchless Jenny. Or, sometimes, Jenny Lind.

FB rescued her from the outdoors, a thin little tortie who's even smaller than Opie. She was someone's pet once. And for a brief day she was someone's pet again. But the idiot didn't understand how long it takes to acclimate one cat to another. So I get a call at work...can we bring her in for a night and try to find a place for her? Why, yes. Yes, we can.

But the falling in love, and the name, and the caterwauling (because Torties always - always - share heart and throat with Siamese) and the Opie trauma, and the three cats in a 900 square foot basement condo with missing carpet and three humans?

This, as has been mentioned....this?

Not gonna happen.

So who won? You or the cat?

We were not going to have pets... lasted for 12 years... then the foster son's cat needed a home (grandma was moving to an apt). Now we have a black cat... funny part... wife had never had a pet before... now she loves it.

Heh. We have a potential taker for Jenny; we have to keep her until Sunday, but I think we'll survive. What's your cat's name? And do you love it?

Our cat is called Noah (named when foster son's family was still intact). I think 3/4 of household love him. I think he is ok but as I get to feed him and clean the litter box, I would have been happy enough without him. He is good for the kids and wife so on that account he is well worth having around.

Noah can be seen in a photo in my livejournal from a few weeks ago.
