Run, Don't Walk...

...to see Star Trek. It rocks. It rocks most absolutely. That is all.

Oh, wait. It's not all. Thank you, BB and FB, for taking me to see it. It was a fine Mother's Day present, as was the Mother's Day lunch of cut-up doughnuts topped with four kinds of ice cream, topped with whipped cream, topped with Spanish peanuts.

It was too healthy. Of course it was healthy. Emotionally healthy.

(Star Trek. Don't forget.)

The person eschewing fat and dairy right now just burst out laughing and laughing (and laughing) while her belly all but fled her body in an effort to race away from the thought of what that lunch would most likely do to her right now.

Thank you. The laughter was emotionally healthy for me. :-)

Love you. Happy Mother's Day. What a fabulous way to spend it. And yes, I will remember to see Star Trek as quickly as I can get to it.

Well that's a win-win - and you're a good daughter!

If I were a mom, that's how I'd want my kids to treat me! :D

Yep, the new Trek rocks. Such a relief!! :D

I've got good guys around here. As to the movie's quality, I'm a bit relieved on that score myself

Have you seen it yet? I think your oldest would like it, although I don't know if your youngest would.

Oh, I'm going this afternoon. Alone. That's how much I want to see it. I couldn't get any of my miscreants to go with me, so I'm goin solo! :-)

I went yesterday with some of the library bookgroup, plus an LJer who lives near us (he liked us enough to plan to come to group next month). It was really a great movie. We made the staff angry by staying to the end of the credits.

Heh - we always stay to the end of the credit. I figure it is simple good manners to acknowledge the people who put the movie together for me, even if they never know I did it.

We stayed until the end just to discuss the awesome goodness we had just witnessed. (OK and also for a few additional moment of kidlessness before heading home...heh.)
